Cumberland Street SW1C

Conversion/Extension

Two adjoining houses remodelled to provide 3,300sqft of accommodation each were tied by a Grampian condition at consent to ensure that the two owners carried out development simultaneously. The post war infill properties set within an historic terrace, underwent comprehensive internal structural refurbishments, plus basement and roof level additions.  The rather bland and dated frontages were carefully reconfigured to better integrate with adjoining properties by a strengthening of the main horizontal lines and numerous additional features. Rear courtyard gardens and roof terracing offered a level of amenity space.
