Silvertown E16
An early regeneration off a derelict industrial site in Silvertown adjacent the river was repurposed by the practice for Barrett East London. The scheme gained consent for a mews style development of small town houses, villas and apartments set around a central courtyard. Careful planning ensured all residential units had direct or partial views of the Thames. The larger villas to the front of the site lined an accessible riverside walkway which reinstated an element of accessibility in an historic setting previously cut off and blighted by recent industrial development
