Tavistock
A large bulky telecoms building, almost derelict, overlooking a picturesque parkland close to the centre of Tavistock was ripe for redevelopment. Its traditional, classical and almost austere stucco elevations under a steep clay pitched roof were retained and the original building form fully restored. Detail modifications were made to improve the overall proportionality of the elevations and to enhance its classical disposition. Planning consent was achieved for a series of town houses to the rear of the site on the footprint of the outbuildings. and duplex units of generous proportions planned within the building itself.
