A feasibility scheme sought to unlock the potential of a town centre site to accommodate a substantial scheme of retail and residential units set. We patched in new routeways that offered increased levels of legibility that improved pedestrian connectivity and clearly differentiated between public and private areas knitting together the remnants of past attempts to realise cohesion. The new residential units formed off a transfer deck over the commercial elements were supported by high quality open space and landscaping designed to lift the environmental credentials of the site and the town centre as a whole in an area of substantial green space deficit.
